Sterling silver Beads and Findings.

Sterling silver is an alloy of pure silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of another metal, usually copper, which provides strength.

Sterling silver is a quality material though due to the copper content it will tarnish when in contact with airborne sulphur and sulphide pollutants. It may need periodic polishing with an impregnated cleaning cloth, storing it sealed in a bag does minimise the occurrence of tarnish.
