Sterling silver crimps are used to secure the ends of designs when using tiger tail and some varieties of stretch cord and monocord to a clasp. A crimp cover is closed over a crimp to give the look of a bead and a neater finish to a design. A charlotte crimp also known as a bead tip can be used when using a knot at the end of the string, the bead tip hides the knot and then hooks around a jump ring or directly onto your clasp.
