	The selection of craft wire to use for wire wrapping and other wire jewellery making techniques will depend on the wire project in mind. We have found that it can be a personal choice as to which brands of craft wire people prefer to use and recommend perhaps trying a few before deciding which is your favourite.

	We are often asked about wire gauges and have the table left you can use for a guide. When discussing the hardness of a wire there are so many variables that we think it best for wire workers to experiment. Wire sculptor may require dead soft wire for easy manipulation, wire wrapping often uses half hard for strength and the gauge of the wire will also have a bearing on the hardness.

	If you would like to have a go at these wire wrapped cuffs you can use 18 to 20 gauge wire for the frame and 24, 26 to 28 gauge wire for the wrapping depending on your beads hole size. We used German silver plated copper wire, slider beads, gemstone beads, glass pearls and seed beads.
