Gemstone beads are rare and durable stones. Today there is less distinction in the industry between the label semiprecious gemstone bead and gemstone bead as it is seen that semiprecious is somewhat misleading. Gemstone beads are versatile, affordable and a beautiful medium for any designers collection.
 
With an extraordinary variety of gemstone beads available there is always a suitable gemstone for everyone. Not only do the gemstone beads come in a variety of stones but they come in an array of cut bead shapes from large gemstone nuggets to small uncut gemstone chips.
We do not grade our gemstone beads due to the lack of uniformity within the gemstone bead industry, India often has a lower grade threshold meaning that an AA Indian cut bead may be an A China cut.

Our gemstone bead strand sizes:
Gemstone beads are loosely strung on 35-40 cm strands, noted exceptions will be mentioned in the details link. Gemstone beads are also sold in packs of ten for convenience of small orders, with some shapes offered by the bead.
Gemstone chips in stock with noted exception in the details sections are available as long strands, that is 85 - 90 cm in length. Also available in smaller hand cut 25 cm strands.

Tip: It is cost effective to purchase gemstone beads and chips by the full strand when possible.
